We stayed at Holly Lodge, the 2 bed cottage, for 3 weeks from late January through to mid February. We were on grandparent duties for our daughter who’d recently given us a new grandson . It was the perfect retreat.
During the stay most of the extended family visited which meant the cottage accommodated all age groups including our two elder grandchildren who loved the donkeys, Corfe Castle and Swanage
We would return exhausted to the cottage and although I never fully mastered the log burner the central heating did its job well and kept us warm in the huge living room with two comfy sofas and Samsung TV during the chilly evenings.
We cooked every day and whilst the kitchen may not have all the gadgets you have at home it was sufficiently well equipped with crockery, cutlery and utensils and was spotlessly clean.
The bedrooms were comfortable and well furnished. The bathroom was massive and the shower worked well with plenty of hot water always.
Helen was very kind and accommodating to allow us to change dates and duration after original booking. Julie and Mark, the owners, were delightful to chat with even when they were busy on farm business.
Holly Lodge was the ideal base for all the family’s needs. Our best recommendation is to say we plan to book another stay at the end of the year.

Stayed in Robins Nest, a lovely 3 bedroom cottage. Home from Home. Star rating of 11/10. The lovely family who own and run the site Helen, Julie and Mark are very welcoming and friendly. The service that Helen supplies to the cottages is exceptional. In the garage is an Aladdin’s cave of goodies of things you may have forgotten to take with you. Dog bowels, leads, towels etc etc all there for you to use and return. A great selection of DVD’s should it be raining. Plenty of information of places to visit is available either in your cottage welcome pack or just chat to Julie and Mark. Lots of local places to eat. I took my 6 month old puppy with me who had the time of his life in the woods at the Farm. Golf course right next door for any golfers. Had a fabulous week and will defiantly return for another visit at Holly Hedge Farm as Dorset itself has so much to offer as a holiday destination.

We stayed in Owl’s Roost, my wife, me and our two dogs had a great time. The accommodation was spotless on arrival. The attention to detail by Helen ( manager ) was second to none. The owners Julie and Mark were fantastic, chatty and very helpful. Due to our return trip to Guernsey being cancelled because of gales, Julie and Mark let us stay for an extra two nights at a nightly extra cost. This was so kind as we would have had to find alternative accommodation with our dogs, this might have caused us a big problem.
We have to highly recommend Holly Hedge Farm, its a beautiful place to stay, close to wonderful country pubs serving great food and drinks. Supermarkets very close and wonderful countryside and walks.
Thanks Julie, Mark and Helen.
We will definitely return.

If you want to completely chill out – this is the place to go. This is our second stay and was just as good as our first.
There are 4 cottages ranging from 1-4 bed.
We stayed in Holly Lodge the 2 bed cottage.
Cottages are clean and comfortable with everything you need and the eggs as part of the welcome pack from the on-site chickens is a lovely touch.
Helen and Julie are so welcoming making sure you have everything you need.
It was lovely seeing Mikey and Bubbles the donkeys again.
Lovely quiet location with Wareham,Swanage,Corte Castle,Studland all a short drive away
Will definitely be back.

Outstanding in all ways. Lovely warm welcome. The cottage has all you need. Nowhere of note is very far from the cottage with the beaches 20-25 minutes away. I can thoroughly recommend this venue.

Thank you to the Holly Hedge Farm team, we stayed in two cottages, Robin’s Nest & Purbeck view for a family wedding, the cottages were immaculate, lots of nice touches, the setting was peaceful, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend. Loved the donkey and goose !

This has been the best holiday. The hosts were attentive and nothing too much trouble. The location is beautiful. The apartments are stunning. Attention to detail 2nd to none. We will be returning later this year. Everything and everyone was perfect. Thanks especially to Helen from beginning to end. I cant wait to come back.

I needed a place to stay for myself and my cat, Harry, whilst building work was undertaken at my home in Poole. I was fortunate enough to find Holly Hedge Farm just 15 minutes away.
Harry and I settled in at Holly Lodge, a lovely cottage with modern and comfortable furnishings. The cottage was more like home than a holiday let and it afforded every amenity I could wish for.
There was an outside enclosed patio area for Harry to do some bird watching and for me to sit and relax in the sun.
The area is stunning and very quiet, although the occasional “four” could be heard from the golfers at Bulbury Golf Couse, which is adjacent to the farm.
If you are looking for a holiday stay in a tranquil location, with wonderful attractions on your doorstep, Holly Hedge Farm is the place to go.
Helen, Julie and Mike are the best hosts, they made me feel extremely welcome and always had time to chat. The Donkey made the stay extra special.

Me, my husband, my parents, our two children (5 & 13) and my little dog all stayed in Robin’s Nest at Holly Hedge Farm.

We were blown away by the cottage! It was perfectly equipped for a family stay, the place was clean and tidy and beautifully presented.

There was plenty of space to park our cars for unloading/loading. The wood burner was needed on a couple of colder evenings and heated the entire cottage perfectly.

The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of storage in each bedroom for everyone’s belongings to be put away and tidy.

The washing machine and washing liquids provided was an absolute godsend after a couple of rainy days walking on beaches and over the cliff path etc. The clothes airer placed in the living area dried everything overnight because of the log burners heat.

The Holly Hedge Farm hosts went over and above for our stay. They were incredibly kind and friendly and even out some birthday bits out for my eldest who turned 13 on holiday. The boys were invited to watch the donkey, Bubble, having his nails trimmed too. They were able to feed him little bits of carrot while he had his mani pedi 🥰

We can’t wait to go back again to stay in Robin’s Nest and my husband and I are hoping to have a weekend away in Owl’s Roost at some point too. We love a long hike and can’t do that with the whole family.

There are so many wonderful places to visit around Holly Hedge Farm. We managed to fit in so many trips to places within a 30 minute drive but there’s so much more to explore. This holiday let is perfectly situated for exploring.

We stayed in the one bedroom Owls Roost Cottage. We arrived to a lovely welcome from the hosts and a spotlessly clean cottage. The cottage was, homely, comfortable and well equipped with facility to use TV and log in to a firestick for all the usual! Everything provided to enable recycling of rubbish.
The farm is well situated for both beach and forest walks a short drive away.
Dog friendly with a small enclosed courtyard for alfresco dining. We enjoyed meeting Bubble the resident donkey.

My family and I have just had a fantastic holiday at Holly Hedge Farm. We stayed in Robin’s Nest and couldn’t have been happier. The hosts are so lovely and the farm is beautifully presented. Our holiday home was perfectly located for exploring some wonderful Dorset attractions and countryside walks. Can’t wait to go back!

Recently returned from a holiday at Holly Hedge farm. Thoroughly enjoyable week. Excellent accommodation with everything we needed in our cottage. The wood burner was on every night. The cottage was very clean throughout. Enjoyed eating in Wareham. An excellent base for visiting Dorset. Wife loved the Donkey.

Beautiful cottage . So well equipped. Loved the little extras , games to play and huge selection of DVDs which we watch while smuggled up on the sofa in front of the fire. Very comfy bed . Well equipped kitchen. Surrounding villages picturesque. I can only give it 10 out of 10.

Holly Hedge Farm is perfectly located for all attractions in Dorset, all within a short drive. We stayed in a 4 bedroom cottage which had everything we needed, and if we needed something else we only had to ask host Helen who was very attentive and helpful, the farm is pet friendly and beautifully set between forestry and a golf course (so dont forget your clubs!). This was genuinely the perfect week away, thank you Helen and team.
